We are conveniently located in Bay of Islands, New Zealand, adjacent to Opua Marine Park where a wide range of marine-related services are available:

Opua Marina, the main Port of Entry, is also close by.
Ashby's Boatyard is ideally situated to provide and facilitate service access for a wide range of customer requirements. We have skilled boat builders and yard crew with an experienced marine painter on site.

We can discount your hardstand depending on the size
and nature of your project
Our 17 metre Boat Maintenance Tent is available for weather independent maintenance. Our floating work berths provide 360 lineal metres of accessible dockside.
Power and water reticulated to all sites.
Easy access for all contractors.
Our hardstand can accommodate 55 vessels, all of which can be positioned close to the engineering services and on site painter or in the long term area away from the work areas, boat haulage or hiab trucks.
If you are planning on undertaking work on your own vessel, please remember that all material that has environmental offence (antifoul scrapings) must be collected on ground sheets and NO dry sanding is permitted without a vacuum bag attached.
